Google Calendar access

When a parent connects Google Calendar, Cloudy requests only the Google Calendar permissions it needs: read-only access to the calendar list, and access to calendar events. Cloudy does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, or any other Google service.

This access lets a consenting parent choose which calendar Cloudy uses, and lets Cloudy create, update, and cancel family scheduling events and their invitations on that calendar.

Authorization is per consenting parent, for their family. Each parent chooses to connect their own Google account, and Cloudy’s ownership of the OAuth app gives it no access to any family’s calendar on its own.

Cloudy’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How your information is protected

• Your family’s Cloudy runs on a dedicated virtual machine with encrypted connections, storage, and backups, and family-level permissions separating each household’s records.
• Connected-account tokens — including Google Calendar tokens — are encrypted and kept in a secrets vault, separate from chat history and the rest of your family’s data.
• A firewall limits connections to approved services, and sharing is task-specific: information goes only to the providers needed to operate the feature, and to invited attendees when you ask Cloudy to invite them.
• Some requests may use external AI services. Data shared with those services is subject to their retention and training policies.

What we don’t do with your data

Your family’s information is not sold, and it is not used for advertising. It is used to provide the assistance your family asks for.

Sharing

Sharing is limited to the service providers needed to operate a feature — such as Google Calendar when a parent connects it — and to the attendees you ask Cloudy to invite. Purchases and bookings are shared for your review before they happen.

Your controls

You can disconnect Google Calendar and revoke Cloudy’s access at any time from your Google Account settings, under third-party access.

Export and deletion requests include identity verification, backup expiry details, and information about any required retention or data already shared with connected services.
