What Cloudy is

Cloudy is a software assistant, not a device or a human service. Each family gets its own assistant in its own group chat. You reach it by texting, the way you already reach the people in your family — there is no separate tracker app to install and no separate form to fill out.

It started with the newborn chapter: feeds, diapers, appointments, and handoffs between exhausted parents. It extends into the rest of family logistics from there — reminders, calendars, groceries, and research. See the family assistant page for what it does and where it stops.

How family data is handled

Each family’s Cloudy runs on a dedicated virtual machine with encrypted connections, storage, and backups. Family records are scoped to your household, connected-account tokens are kept in a secrets vault, and you can request an export or deletion at any time. The privacy page describes the model in detail, including exactly what Google access Cloudy requests when a parent connects a calendar.

Availability and price

Cloudy is in early access. Families can start by opening a new iMessage to cloudy@soybeanlabs.app. Cloudy is free during early access. We have not announced a permanent free tier or long-term pricing — when we do, it will be stated plainly on this site rather than implied.

Cloudy works inside iMessage, so families need Apple devices to use it today.

Who is behind it

Cloudy is built by a small team at cloudy.family, working directly with early-access families. There is no advertising in the product, and family data is not sold or used for ads.
