COMPARISON
A free alternative to Huckleberry for new parents
Two different ways to keep track of your baby’s day: an assistant that lives in the group chat your family already uses, or a dedicated baby tracker app.
Cloudy is a free alternative to Huckleberry during early access — a personal AI assistant for new parents that lives in your family iMessage group. Log feeds, diapers, and updates by texting in ordinary language; everyone in the chat stays coordinated. Huckleberry is an established baby tracker with free basic tracking, paid AI logging, SweetSpot sleep predictions, and expert-designed sleep plans. Choose Cloudy for conversational logging and family coordination in iMessage; choose Huckleberry for its established sleep predictions or sleep plans. Cloudy’s “free” is free during early access — a stated, time-bound term, not a promise of free forever.

What logging looks like in Cloudy
These conversations are synthetic illustrations, not real family data.
ALEXMilo had 3 oz at 9:30 and a wet diaper 😴
CLOUDYBoth logged 🤍 Bottle: 3 oz. Wet diaper: 9:30.
JAMIEActually it was 4 oz
CLOUDYUpdated — bottle corrected to 4 oz at 9:30.
The same conversation keeps a shared record, coordinates the next handoff, and reminds you both about tomorrow’s pediatrician visit. There is no separate app to open and no separate tracker interface for a grandparent or caregiver to learn.
Honest limitations
- No sleep predictions or sleep plans. If you want SweetSpot predictions or an expert-designed sleep plan, Huckleberry is the better fit.
- Apple only. Cloudy works inside iMessage, so it is not a fit for Android-only families today.
- No history import. Your existing Huckleberry history stays in Huckleberry. Families who switch to Cloudy start a fresh record in the family chat, and can keep their old app for reference.
- Early access. Cloudy is free during early access; we have not announced a permanent free tier or long-term pricing.
- Not medical advice. Cloudy answers everyday questions with linked sources, but it is not clinically reviewed and does not replace your pediatrician.
Switching, if you try Cloudy
You can keep Huckleberry installed while you try Cloudy during early access. Add Cloudy to your family iMessage group, log care by text for a week, and compare. If Cloudy is not the better fit for your family, your Huckleberry record is untouched.
